The Power of Stripes
"Dressing would be monotonous without the
graphic interest of a variety of designs"
Alan Flusser, Dressing The Man
Fall 2004 brings stripes boldly out into the open with flash and distinction. Although they have been shown for a couple of seasons in Europe, they finally come into their own here in the States. Combining a stripe suit with a stripe shirt and striped tie can seem a little overpowering, but if done right can send a strong statement of confidence.
This Fall season we feature a plethora of stripes from the classic to the bold with patterns geared to the tastes of each individual customer.
If you are looking for a particular pattern, we will find it for you. While buying fabric in Italy this June, I came across a beautiful Cashmere/Wool double track stripe suiting fabric that one of our Executive Club members had requested I look for.
He was so thrilled when I called him from our cloth mill and described it to him that he promptly ordered all three shades. With close ties to over fifteen world renowned fabric houses, davide cotugno executive tailors offers the most comprehensive selection in Northeastern Ohio.
This season we introduce two new silhouettes to our jacket styles. The Lancia brings a softer line to the shoulder with a tapered waist for a more flattering contour. The Brianto combines the softer line with a slight rope to the sleeve head, (note the raised look to the top of the sleeve.) Both styles conform to the body for a much closer fit. Ask for them by name. |
